VISION 2040

What is Vision 2040?

VISION 2040 is an Every Nation Southern Africa apostolic expansion strategy that aims to plant new churches and campus ministries within Southern Africa, Africa and Europe, and grow our regional clusters by 2040. This is a vision that stirs our hearts as Every Nation Southern Africa; a vision for the honour of God’s name. And we are going to proclaim and believe God for a wonderful new season in our region.

Every Nation Southern Africa is currently in eight nations, and we are passionately trusting God for more. The Apostolic Leadership Team met and sensed God saying that it is time to grow. It is time to take our existing churches and campus ministries and to assist them in seeking God, and setting and achieving growth goals that make sense for their context.

Our vision over the next 15 years also includes planting 20 new churches outside our region and 40 new churches within Southern Africa. We will, furthermore, plant 20 new campus ministries and grow our region to have 20 strong, apostolic clusters.

VISION 2040 also has a five-year action plan in line with Mission 2029, a global Every Nation expansion strategy. By 2029, we are trusting for five churches in Southern Africa, five churches in Africa/Europe and five campus plants.

Our vision requires unity of heart and purpose across Every Nation Southern Africa: every pastor, campus worker, disciple-maker, church member is needed to accomplish VISION 2040.

Critically, our vision especially requires wholehearted commitment to making disciples and raising leaders in every local church.

VISION 2040’s NEXT FIVE-YEAR ACTION PLAN: MISSION 2029

Vision is where we’re going, and mission is how we’re getting there. Mission 2029 is an Every Nation global apostolic expansion strategy that aims to plant new churches and strengthen existing churches. It forms the first five-year phase of our regional Every Nation Southern Africa’s VISION 2040.

THE NEXT FIVE YEARS:

We have identified the following towns in Southern Africa as well as the following countries in Africa and Europe. We are trusting to plant churches and campus ministries out of the lists below:

5 Church plants in Southern Africa (Five from the list below):
Kimberly, Umtata, Ballito, Walvis Bay, Gweru, Ekurhuleni.

5 Church plants in Africa/Europe: (Five from the list below):
Angola, Lesotho, Zambia, Eswatini, Kenya, Croatia, Switzerland.

Campus ministry plants in Southern Africa:

Sol Plaatje University; University of Limpopo; Nelson Mandela University; University of Mpumalanga.

A DREAM FOR AFRICA

Many years ago, there was a dream in the hearts of our leaders for the continent of Africa. Every Nation’s Jim Laffoon prophesied that this would be a “highway of holiness” — a redeemed version of the historical plan to create a road from Cape to Cairo.

With God’s grace, Every Nation Southern Africa is joyously aiming to expand so that we can support our brothers and sisters within Africa.
We’re adopting three initiatives:

the initiative of planting in Egypt,
the initiative of planting in Ethiopia, (Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti)
the initiative of planting and establishing churches in East Africa (Mozambique, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania)

All three will come under the Southern Africa banner, as part of our VISION 2040.
